This is my custom painted Masterpiece Thundercracker. He started out as MP-03, the miscolored Starscream. I disassembled nearly everything, sanded down parts that had to move past each other or those that would be too tight with a layer of paint on them, and masked off the places that I did not want to paint. I chose a painting system for automobiles so that the paint would be very durable and smooth. First, I used a primer, coated it with acrylic spray paint, and finished it with a clear coat. Now, Masterpiece Thundercracker is ready to join 2007 Botcon Thundercracker and the original Thundercracker toy from the 1980’s.
