I put up a long overdue Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on the site. It addresses questions that I’ve been asked about the site, kitbashes and fan fics. You can find the FAQ page through the menu bar.

I added a new link to the Links page. You may have seen images of these plush Transformers here and there on the internet. The artist’s site is The Plush Soiree. She also displays her fantastic custom work on her Deviant Art account, Plush-bots.

I posted a new kitbash today. It turned out to be much, much harder than I originally thought it would be. That’s why it took so long to finish. I may try to do another one of these, but wire it differently. Now that I’ve done this project once, I think I see an easier way of doing it next time. That’s how it is sometimes. You learn by doing something.

Aha! As you can see, I’ve accomplished the feat of creating my first animated GIF ever. I painted snow over the rocky, volcanic landscape of Autobot Headquarters in the usual banner and then added frames of snow falling to it. I really like this as a new winter banner.

The next fan fic, Raven’s Quarry, is now posted for your reading pleasure. Click here or go to the Fan Fic page to find the story.
The Combaticons posed a challenge to write since, with the exception of Swindle, their characters weren’t well defined in the G1 cartoon. While trying to stay true to whatever character I could glean from re-watching the G1 cartoon and reading up on their tech specs, I added my own interpretation of their personalities and backgrounds to give each of them depth. Every Combaticon is a Decepticon criminal, so it was fitting that each should have the traits of the type of criminal that I thought they were: Onslaught, the Hannibal Lector-like leader, Swindle the greedy but cowardly dealer, Vortex the ruthless and controlling interrogator, Brawl the gangster thug, and Blast Off the creepy yet out-of-control psychopathic killer.
In Raven’s Quarry, Hound is pitted against these five Decepticon rogues. But just when he thinks he has enough trouble on his hands, a another adversary, a type of which Hound has never encountered before, joins the fray. Find out how Hound survives these incredible odds in Raven’s Quarry.

This last weekend I tried casting opaque plastic. I have tried casting clear plastic once before, during my movie Jazz kitbash. For this mini project, I cast a new Rollbar head with a custom socket to fit the smaller head post ball on Nemesis Prime. More information and photos are posted in my LiveJournal.

It’s been many months, but I just finished updating the list of figures I have in My Collection. I’ll have to work on getting more up-to-date photos of the display cases, since I’ve added some new stuff and had to rearrange the collection as it has been growing.
The upcoming fan fic “Raven’s Quarry” is currently being edited. Editing is taking some time since my editor is working it in around his regular job and a course; however, we’re working on getting it done and posted as soon as manageable.

To those who saw the Halloween banner on the home page, I hope you liked it. I know I did. I’d like to do something similar for the Christmas season as it approaches.

The draft of the next fan fic, “Raven’s Quarry,” is done and awaiting editting.
Information about ”Raven’s Quarry” is posted here on the story’s info page.

I thought it was probably a good time to write another post about the fan fic that I’ve been diligently working on since early July. “Raven’s Quarry” has been an enormous amount of work but it is finally just about finished. I’m currently working on the last part of the story and should be wrapping it up in the near future. Of course, the story will be given to my editor first before it’s posted. My editor always does a good job and it’s worth a little extra wait.
Information about ”Raven’s Quarry” is posted here on the story’s info page.

Another piece of fan art is under way. A thumbnail for this picture of Optimus Prime and Elita One is up on Fan Art page.

The thumbnail for the TFA Jazz kitbash I’m working on has been taken down. It’s something I’ll continue to work on, but I’m very busy right now. When it is finished and I get some photos taken it’ll be posted.
I occasionally need to travel out of town for work and this limits my ability to provide regular updates to this web site.

Here are some teaser photos ftom the TFA Jazz kitbash I’ve been working on. Some aspects of the work has been difficult, but it’s mostly done. This weekend I made one of Jazz’s weapons...light up nunchucks like he has in the cartoon. The batteries, wires and LED are completely contained within the miniature weapon. There are no wires that run to the nunchucks. Below are two photos of them. More will be posted with the completed kitbash.

Four new sites have been added to the links page: All That Jazz, Transfans, TFArchive and FanFiction.net. The links page has more information on these sites.

About a month ago I mentioned that I was adding lights to a figure’s weapon. Well, I found time to finish the custom work and took pictures. The weapon I customized belonged to Transformers Animated Snarl. You can find pictures of the lighted club either through the icon below or through the kitbash page.

The Transformers Animated Jazz kitbash is coming along. It was more difficult than it originally seemed, so it’s taking longer to finish it. I have some of the pictures taken and a page partially constructed. Once I make his weapons and take the rest of the photos a page will be posted to show the whole thing.

The next piece of fan art is finally finished. Here’s a picture of a battle scene, seen from the Autobot line.

I’ve had a few things in progress for a while now, but I am still working on them. One thing that I wanted to do this summer was try out air brushing. Unfortunately, the weather this summer has been poor and has only improved recently. I had planned to make a Masterpiece Sunstorm (which requires air brushing), so I’m taking advantage of a spell of good weather now to squeeze it in amongst the other things I’m working on. Below are a couple of pictures of how MP Sunstorm is going. TF:A Jazz is still underway, too. I thought I had this one done until I had to replace the wiring and then the switch. Now I’ve got his batteries and switch working again and will be wiring the headlights and optics next. I’ve included a photo of that project, too.

All of the kitbash pages and photo art on the Fan Art pages are back up now. It has taken an enormous amount of time to deal with the situation of the last week and to edit the photos to add my signature and the website name. It hasn’t left me with any time in the past week to work on creating new content.
The large photos for the kitbash pages will be coming. For now, I’m getting back to writing the next fan fic and working on my incomplete projects and artwork. For anyone wondering, the fan fic is at the turning point of the plot. It’s not all downhill from here, though. Nothing in a story is as easy to resolve as it seems. You’ll see what I mean when the story is posted. ;)

Well, the wiring I ordered for the next kitbash took longer than expected to come in. I just got it so it will be a little longer before it’s finished.
Another picture is well under way, so a thumbnail for it is up on the Fan Art page. I’ve been experimenting with Corel Painter lately, and have been making progress learning how to use the tools. The background of the Hound and Raven picture was also done with Corel Painter.

The story is just passing the 30 page mark, so I’ll be periodically updating the progress on the story’s “more info” page.

I’m trying something new. I put up a thumbnail for a kitbash that’s in progress. Previously, I haven’t done this because there is so much uncertainty in how difficult the kitbash is going to be and how long it will take to get it done. I’m going to give it a try and see how the “in progress” status for kitbashes works out.
I actually have two Transformers Animated kitbashes I’m working on, though one is just adding lights to a weapon. The newest project, TF:A Jazz, will be pretty cool when it’s finished. Currently, I’m just waiting for more wires to come in.
I’m still working on an Alternator re-shell I mentioned a while back. Between all of the projects I have on the go (kitbashes, fan art and fan fic) and this kitbash, it’s unfortunately taking a long time to get it done. It’s my first re-shell and I picked a smaller car to attach to a larger body, which is causing a lot more work than I figured. At this point, I don’t know when it will be done.
On a different note, I added a popular fan fiction website, Lexicon, to the links page. The Lexicon is a huge compendium of Transformers fan fiction. There you’ll find stories from a number of popular fan authors, including the one who inspired me to start writing fan fiction - Starhorse.

Just a quick update...The pictures of the Ruskin Dam battle and the photos of Jetfire have been moved to the photo section at the bottom of the Fan Art page since they are photo art.

A picture from the next fan fic is in progress. Thumbnails of it are posted on the Fan Art and Fan Fic pages. Also, information about the content of the next story, “Raven’s Quarry,” is now available. You can check out the new content information by clicking on “more information” next to the story on the Fan Fic page.

There was getting to be a lot of content on the Fan Art page, so it was time to break up the page into two. You can still find my artwork and “just for fun” photo artwork on the Fan Art page. But if you’re looking for my kitbashes and custom work, there’s a page specifically for those now.
The next fan fic is coming along. A lot of work goes into writing each story, so it is not a quick process. Nevertheless, as time passes the story is progressing. Presently, all of the characters planned to be in this story are written in.

Hey, it’s Canada Day today! Coincidentally, I’m finished a kitbash of a Canadian colored character. I’ve been working on this one for a number of weeks now so it’s good to be finished Alternator Ratchet. He started out as Skids and got a new paint job and a head modification. Then I added working headlights, a working emergency light bar and working tail lights. I really like this Ratchet.
