There’s lots of good, new stuff today. I recently took Alternators Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker with me to Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon.

You can find the photos of Sunstreaker and Sideswipe here. At the bottom of the twins’ page, you’ll also find information on how I made a custom backpack attachment for Sideswipe so that he could wear a shoulder-mounted missile launcher.

The new photo of Smokescreen is here, at the bottom of the page.

I also made a cosmetic change to the Mount St. Helens button on the Scenic page so that it would be more fun to use.

I’ve got two small updates for today. The first is an update of my Transformers collection list of figures. The other update is a thumbnail for an uncolored picture of Spike and Bumblebee, however there is no link yet. This picture is a scene from my story “The Spark Cell.” Most of the line work is done.

Here’s a picture of Swoop I’ve been working on for a while now. Also, I just started another fan fic, so there’s a space up for it on the Fan Fic page.

A bunch of cool, new photos are added to the Alternator Smokescreen page in Fan Art. I made two blue LED light sabers for him and then bought a bag of dry ice so “smoke” would be in the pictures. All of the photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.

I’ve added photos of Jetfire to the Fan Art page. He came with me on a recent trip to Alaska, where I took a couple of pictures of him. There are a few other Alaska photos on the page, too. I chose to bring Jetfire to Alaska because in the G1 cartoon the Decepticons found Skyfire, as Jetfire was called then, buried in the arctic. So, it seemed fitting.

A few updates:

The new picture above replaces the Jazz picture, which has been moved here, to a new Jazz photo page.

I’m working on a project to make a dynamic picture of Alternator Smokescreen. So far I’ve got one of two light sabers made and have posted the picture on the Smokescreen photo page. More pictures will be coming.

I updated the pictures of my Transformers collection. The last pictures were taken in November and the collection has grown since then. Also, I got a fourth display case.

I’m late in reporting on how TransformersCon went. I had a great time! Here’s the report I made in my LiveJournal. Michael Bell, the voice actor who did G1 Prowl and Sideswipe, signed my fan art pictures of both characters as well as a print of Prowl, Sideswipe and Swoop by Alex Milne (who also signed the print at the convention). They’ll all have to be framed.

Today I have a picture of Prowl to add to the Fan Art page. Maybe someday I’ll figure out how to use Corel Painter and try working on backgrounds where there aren’t any yet. For now, though, I’m just happy to have this picture finished in time for TransformersCon in Toronto at the end of the month. I’m going to ask Michael Bell, the voice actor who voiced Prowl and Sideswipe, to autograph a full-sized version of this picture. If he’ll sign two things, I’ll ask him to autograph my picture of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, too.

Today is the big day that my next story, Through The Kaleidoscope, is available on the Fan Fic page.

I figured out how to add more interactive content wtih buttons and links so you’ll notice that the website is better to navigate than before. It’s a work in progress. I’m figuring out this website stuff as I go.

My latest piece of Fan Art goes up today. This one is a picture of Ratchet and Wheeljack that I call “The Discussion.” The background in the picture is Teletraan I. After looking at several screenshots of the Ark’s computer before drawing it I found that the cartoonists never seemed to draw Teletraan exactly the same twice, except for a few basics like the big main screen and that little one in front with the crosshairs on it.

I made some big changes to the fit of this website. You’ll also find that you can click on pictures and a bigger version will appear. This should fix up problems with viewing this website on a monitor with 1024x768 resolution.

Some more new stuff is up today. Now that we’re past Christmas and into a new year I put up a new picture here on the homepage. It’s a little joke I thought up to parody the Got Milk? commercials. I hope you can appreciate my sense of humor.

Also up today is my next fan fic, The Downside Of It All. This is a gritty, darker story than my first two. I never used to like Huffer as a character because he’s such a miserable whiner, but after writing this story I’m starting to appreciate him more.

The inspiration to write this story came to me last summer during a flight home from a remote work site in northern BC. In my job I have to go to places where there are no stores – not even a grocery store - no entertainment, TV, phones, internet, or friends or family, so relationships with co-workers become all the more important.

I had just finished a long haul as a construction engineer at a site and was eager to return home. I was so glad finally to be in the air and flying home that I had a tear in my eye. This next story is about Huffer, an Autobot construction engineer, and not a very likeable character. He was never the star of any episode of Transformers so I wanted to write a story in which he was the main character. This fan fiction paints the picture of Huffer’s life and what experiences formed his attitude towards the world.

I posted the full-sized picture from The Downside Of It All here on my Fan Art page.
